STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

WILL NOT IGNITE

When an electric stove does not start, first be sure the appliance power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, then another part of the stove will need to be fixed. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that doesn’t heat will not do much good. An oven does not heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner will not fire up if an element is broken or when the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these problems in under 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER ISSUES

It is safe to assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the timer or program settings aren’t working. In this case, we can fix control boards for LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We offer a warranty on all of the control panels and the manufacturer replacement parts we need for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always want a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be because of an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians know how to identify the reason for the issue and then repair it. Always be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A common stove problem is that an igniter glows but it will not light. The reason this occurs is from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or sensor. We will determine whether we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning models of ovens sometimes experience door issues. The door does not open after the oven cleans itself. We monitor the door latch, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door does not open up and then complete the necessary repair in order to correct the problem.
